I went on yahoo today like always because it's my homepage, and i noticed the horoscope article. i usually don't believe in horoscopes, but a lot of times, the results are really similar to the events and occasions in my life. and when i read over the one on yahoo for my overview of my year in 2010, i was pretty surprised that it's what i really am dealing with right now. funny/weird huh? if you're really bored and willing to read mine, it's right below.
Year 2010 Overview
The symbol for Libra is Balance. In the next year, you'll find yourself doing even more balancing than usual; you're going to be pressed to decide if your internal sense of happiness should be the focus of life more than the outward signs of success. This may have been weighing heavily on your mind for the last several months, as far as work and the state of your love life. What you are likely to be weighing this year is a little more intangible (and a little more important) than those things. Specifically, in 2010 you'll find yourself weighing out the cost of the connections you've formed for yourself versus their actual value to you.
There's going to be a lot of pressure on you from within and without as to who you really are at heart and who you really are to those closest to you. This will be both in your personal life and at work. The natural Libra impulse is often to make peace with these kind of pressures, or negotiate your way around them. Your best bet in the next year though will be to recognize your own inherent value -- not just what you appear to be worth to others.
In the final analysis this is all good news, even if it's good news in disguise. No one is better than you at beautifying things or finding the inherent beauty in the mundane. Once you realize that you yourself are at least as shiny and pretty as any accessory -- in your heart and soul, where beauty really counts -- you'll have begun assembling a better You. Breathe through the difficult spots, and enjoy the results!
i think i've been studying bio for too long. it's weird. whenever i find myself doodling, i'm drawing like dna strands and stuff. but i guess that's not a bad sign. or is it?
i should pack soon. i'm spending the night at my cousin and his wife's house and going to six flags tomorrow with my lovely cousins. whee
AND after tomorrow, is MONEY DAY muhaha. i'm kind of sad to leave 2009. it's been a good and tough year. one of the hardest year for me, especially because of ap euro &sat's.
if i don't update sooner, see you in 2010 and have a lovely happy new years! (=

on christmas eve and christmas day, i actually had a life and went out during my winter break. mhmm. on christmas eve evening, my family and i went out for dinner at a chinese food restaurant and then went to downtown disney (= we took family photos bc we hadn't taken any in a while.
then on christmas day, we went to the mountains with my little cousins Jaein and Hannah, and their parents. we found a cool place to sleigh, and we felt all special bc it was kind of a secret place bc everyone else was sleighing and sharing their side of the mountain and waiting for their turn to sleigh, while we could yell and go crazy by ourselves in privacy. muhaha. how caring and thoughtful i sound on christmas...
today, i did stuff and i colored my extra credit coloring book. yes yes.
i just got off the phone with crazydog charissa. she's crazy.
well, anyways, later today, i'm actually going to have a life once again and go have dinner, and go karaoke crazy, and do belated secret santa with the girlfriends. i should go get ready nowwwww.

Ode to Pockets
Turkeys shouldn't be complaining (or in their case, gobbling). They've got it easy.
The only day they dread is Thanksgiving Day and that comes around only once in a yearly calendar.
And at least some people have sympathy for them.
Nobody fives a crap about their pockets. And without knowing it, these handy clothing compartments suffer way more than just stuffing.
Plus, they're quiet about it too.
We don't hear them nitpicking about how full they are. Or how noisy our extra coin changes rattle. Or how choked they feel when our feet give out and are forced to lie in great juxtaposition to our derriere.
Yup, they've dealt with it all.
And yet, they don't complain. Not a word.
My AP Lang assignment for Teal's class. I want to write like Teal.

i don't know.
it's almost christmas now..
and i'm doing what i always do/did. i forget to update like i did to my past 982347 diaries thrown in my closet.
right now, my dad is downstairs, assuming that his high school daughter is studying for sat's or writing her apush essay..
but i'm actually just being a disappointment.
i wish i could update more often and had something more interesting to say. i like reading other people's blogs. it's really weird how everyone appears to be the same at first glance. going on with their lives like everyone else, but when you read what they have to say or did, it's like woah, your life's way more interesting than mine.
well, junior year has started apparently.
and like i said, i should be doing my apush essay. i wish i was a lot more productive. but for the past 2 days, i've been sitting around, pretending to do hw when i've actually been facebooking or youtubing. ugh, it annoys me that i can't do anything even if i push myself to do anything unless i'm really pressured. and even when i'm pressured, i don't do what i can at my best.
i really wish it snowed in socal. that would really make me happy. and cold at the same time i guess.
i wish for too many things. but i keep them to myself all the time. i guess that's not a bad thing.

Summer
wow. I apologize for no updates.
my brother is dancing to his loud christian CD at the moment, so i cannot concentrate...
'Tis the end of June already and so much as happened.
I had a pet chick for like 3 weeks, but we gave it to my grandma because it only gets suffocated by kyle and would probably have a better life without us as its owner..
I also went cherry picking like a month ago. lol. funfun.
I made a darn spanish music video for 20 extra credit points, but it helped me so much. so i spent like 4 hours at heesu's house lip-syncing to the darn spanish version of "a whole new world." i'll probably slap the next person i hear singing or even humming it.
I'm donee with finals, but that's old news.
It's the second week of summer! & i'm wasting it by going to elite.. but i guess it will be worth it when i become a pharmacist huh? or as my grandma planned for me.
So sad. Everyone's status on facebook is like "i'm packing!" or "i'm leaving for vegas right now!" oh well. all the asians suffer with me and about SAT's.. the asians' status "survived through a week of SAT hagwon" or like mine "i already got detention.."
my brother just jammed the CD player..
anyways, i'll try to update more often!

ze weeek
i cut my hair. on tuesday, may 19th. about 10 inches. my hair's above my shoulder now.
i've been planning to cut it for a while, but i chickened out several times. maybe i'll post a pic of it later.
so right before the hairstylist cut it, she asks me, "are you sure?" -__-
does she want me to say no and regret it later?
but yeah, my fatha was really proud of me. he's been telling me to cut my hair my entire life. haha and he used it for every excuse too. when i used to play golf and the ball kept going to the right, my dad would say, "kah-nee, do you know why the ball is not going straight? because your hair is too long." or "do you know why you're not growing? because your hair is too long." he even came up with his own theory that my nutrition only goes to my hair and not my body.
anyways, yeah. i didn't really care if it came out bad.. but i felt good to know that i am helping another person in the world with cancer (=
it's memorial day weekend! and it's already monday... if you're not interested in my weekend, you don't have to read on..
so...
friday night:
-souplantation for chris's birthday. haha
-my family went out to eat dinner. and we were having a good time until the waitress tells us about the former s. korean president's suicide.. hope he r.i.p.
-then we went to downtown disney, and my brother got really excited because he thought we were going to disneyland. my brother's never been to disneyland. but he's been to disneyworld in florida. kind of sad. what kind of kid has never been to disneyland?
-afterward, we were in line for the tram ride back to the parking lot and these old vietnamese people were behind us. and when the tram came, they rudely pushed my mom and sister and got to the seats before them. my mom accidentally stepped on the lady's shoe, but didn't apologize because she was so pissed. lol.
saturday:
-esther, sally, charissa, jean, steve, & i went to chinatown. then we ate king taco. sooo good. as charissa says, "it was full of flavor." the ride there was pretty funny. we played games and i lost like 23984 times, so i was dared to say "we're both really skinny" to steve, which was the first thing i said to him, whom i met him that day... awkward silence is his response.
-anyways, we went to a bowling alley after picking up the guys, and bowled. i sucked, but i got better in the end. oh yeah, sally regretfully let eddie drive for 15 secs and almost killed us by attempting a drift.
-we then went to a korean restaurant. after we sat down and opened our chopsticks and drank our yook-soo, eddie claims that he doesn't want to eat there and wants to leave... but too bad. we had a good expensive dinner.
-then we played games in the car ride home. we played pumba which jean, esther, & charissa doubted was not fun at first, but was eventually the highlight of the day. haha so funny. pumba is a wonderful hitting game. i now have an unnoticeable bruise on my cheekbones thanks to eddie &jean.
-we had yogurtland for desert, and played another game. the losers had to do all kinds of stuff. charissa &jason hugged. jean&esther spelled their names out with their butts in front of yogurtland. eddie did a little sexy dance. chris had to kiss my hand.. jason did a funny dance on the table. eddie had to lick chris's pinky which was placed inside eddie's ear. esther & chris had to do multiple crazy stuff. if you want to witness some of these, ask charissa to show you the videos.
-charissa and jean took me to seismic at their church. very emotional, yet influencing.
sunday:
-i went to corner bakery for the first time with my family. and the cashier looked at me annoyed and stupidly because i didn't know how to order. charissa ordered for me the last time we went and made me look like a fob.
monday:
-i had an hour of piano lesson like every other asian kid. but most of them quit except me. my teacher was like, "you don't get to practice much because you're so busy huh?" but i actually did practice ):
okay, that was my weekend of three days. homework procrastination. yay. seeyaaa

interesting sleep
i actually have no/zero/nada homework today :P
especially because ap euro's over..
so all we do is watch movies in that class now. today, we watched "band of brothers" with ross from friends in it. haha it is a very intense world war II movie. & is very school appropriate indeed.
oh yeah. while watching that movie, me, charissa, & chris talked about our weird sleeping experiences today. hahahah. today, i learned that i'm kind of abnormal when it comes to sleeping because i thought everyone else did what i did at least once in their life, but i guess i'm the only one. but i won't announce it publicly.
instead, i'll give a mini-quiz on what i did, at least once in my life, while i slept.
while sleeping, i once
a. did a dance in front of my parents half asleep
b. reached out for an ice cream which was not physically in front of me, but was there in my dream.
c. did a kick/twitch in the air
d. only a&b
e. all of the above
*this is harder than an ap euro quiz, so "you should always eliminate the wrong answers first."
**don't ask me for the answer, because i don't think i'll want to give you one.
oh yeah, yesterday, charissa was taking a nap in chem while i was being a studious student and was finishing my math hw. &then all of sudden, charissa does this humongo TWITCH* hahaha yeah well, i guess it was only funny at the moment.
okay, kyle wants me to go play batman wii with him now. goodbye cecily.

cecily evangeline jung.
yay, ap euro is over! i was going to make this blog sooner, but i decided to wait until i had free time.
so, i named my blog. heh. its name is cecily because i think it is quite a lovely name. so, meet cecily evangeline jung. & my asian last name kind of uglifies it.
&i just looked up its meaning... the definition of cecily is... "blind," but evangeline means "good news."
okay, my sister wants to go on the comp, so good sunday to you.
